Front Row of Opening Ceremony Fashion Week

September 22, 2014 in Fashion Journalism

I’ve been crying myself to sleep the past few nights since I left New York and moved back to Hawaii. Crying? Spoiled brat. I know what you’re thinking. See, I got on a plane and departed the fashion capitol of the world 24 hours before Fashion Week began.

Before Rihanna and J Beibs swagged up my previous place of work.

Before Opening Ceremony rolled in the Lambo’s and dished out the cronuts beside my beloved Cold Process freight container.

Before the stickly bodies could exit their parked vehicles and saunter their way down the runway where I once spilled a gallon of freshly brewed coffee.

Before Humberto Leon and Carol Lim could manifest their Korean inspired offering of ingenuity into my ‘cold brewed’ thoughts.

Before I could fully appreciate the majestic transformation of LA street racing into safety harness jumper straps and black-and-white checkerboard magoja’s (longer jackets)…I was speeding my way towards the Pacific Ocean. Leaving a world filled with so much wonder for another of a different fashion.
